PT 141 is injected subcutaneously (or SubQ) with a small insulin like syringe. SubQ means injecting a small amount into a fatty area of your body with a very small needle. Men and women who use PT 141 are sometimes instructed to use it one hour before anticipated sexual activity and the effects can last up to 72 hours. Generally a dose would be around 2mg. However, an authorized medical provider would prescribe an appropriate dose for each of their patients based on their medical estimation including medical history, current medications, symptoms, etc. You should never exceed your prescribed dosage or take without consulting a qualified physician who would prescribe for you.
There can be some side effects to using PT 141 including increased sexual desire, higher blood pressure, flushing, headaches and/or nausea. There could also be injection area effects some individuals experience like irritation, reddening, bumps, discomfort and/or pain at the injection site. These can be and typically are mild but each person is different.
